NORRIDGEWOCK – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after running a red light and getting hit by a car Friday afternoon in Norridgewock.
Police say the call came in around 12:20 p.m.
John Grace, 55, of Meredith was riding his motorcycle through an intersection of Route 2 and Perkins Street when he was hit by John Kennard, 73, of Madison who was traveling north.
Police also said Grace wasn’t wearing a helmet. He was transported by ambulance to Redington Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan and was then taken by LifeFlight to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for a serious head injury.
Kennard and his passenger Ruth Kennard, 74, of Madison were both wearing seat belts.
They were transported to Redington Fairview Hospital for chest pain.
