QUEENS, NEW YORK – Two arrests were made Wednesday in the murder in Cherryfield that took place July 19th.
Carine Reeves, 37, and Quaneysha Greeley, 19, were arrested at 8:00 AM Wednesday in Queens, New York, and charged with the murder of Sally Shaw, 55.
Shaw’s body was found on the side of the road in Cherryfield in the early morning hours of July 19th.
Maine state troopers say they worked closely with their New York counterparts to make these arrests.
“State police detectives have worked literally around the clock for the last week, culminating with a meeting with the attorney general’s office earlier this week in which the murder charges were authorized,” Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland. “We had four detectives in New York city early Tuesday morning, and they helped coordinate the arrests.”
Reeves and Greeley are being held in Queens, and will make their first court appearance there on Thursday.
If they do not contest extradition, they will then be brought to Maine immediately to face these murder charges.
