AUGUSTA – The Secretary of States Office is now accepting public comments on the proposed wording of upcoming referendum questions.
Mainer’s will consider two questions when they head to the voting booth in November.
One is an act to allow slot machines or a casino in York County.
The other is an act to enhance affordable health care which would provide insurance coverage through Medicaid for qualified adults under 65.
Secretary Dunlap will be accepting comments for 30 days and the wording of the questions can be found on the website for the bureau of corporations, elections and commissions. Or simply mail them to the Secretary of States Office.
They’re accepting comments on the wording of the questions and not opinions about the merits of the questions themselves.
