BANGOR – There was a unique concert in Bangor Wednesday evening attracting people of all ages.
“Panstorm” is a steel drum band put together in Hermon, but anyone with a little skill and a love for the one-of-a-kind sound can join.
Musicians played a range of music outside the Bangor Public Library Wednesday, attracting quite a crowd to the free show.
The wife of founder, Melanie Kollman, stated “It provides unbridled joy for people of all ages. You’ll see kids dancing, you’ll see older folks dancing. It’s a great family experience, and it is just happy music.”
The performers range in age from Middle-schoolers to middle-aged.
You might recognize the group from their part in the annual Bangor Fourth of July parade and they also collaborate with local arts organizations.
