CHERRYFIELD – One of the people accused of murdering a woman in Cherryfield has been returned to the state to face charges.
Quaneysha Greeley, 18, was transported back to Maine last night from New York.
Greeley and Carine Reeves, 37, are accused of killing Sally Shaw, 55, last month and leaving her body on the side of a road.
Police haven’t discussed a motive or how Shaw was killed. They said Greeley and Reeves fled to New York after the murder, only to be arrested a week later in Queens.
Both announced they planned to fight the extradition process, but Greeley was transported here Thursday and will appear in a Machias courtroom tFriday at 1:00.
Reeves remains in New York where he’s also facing charges.
