MACHIAS- 46 year old Sally Shaw died of a gunshot wound to the head, that was just one of the many details revealed in a Washington County courtroom Wednesday afternoon.
19 year old Quaneysha Greeley appeared in Machias today after making her first appearance last week, and it was decided she will continue to be held without bail.
She’s one of the two suspects accused of murdering Shaw on the night of July 18th.
And while it’s no shock that Greeley will remain behind bars, the shock factor comes from the details released surrounding Shaw’s murder.
The investigation revealed that Shaw was in a relationship with 37 year old Carine Reeves.
According to the affidavit, a car rented out in Shaw’s name was found crashed about 11 miles from where her body was discovered on a side of a road.
It also revealed a stranger drove a man and a woman from near the crash-site to Bangor for $200.
The two were later identified as Reeves and Greeley.
Evidence found in the crashed car also connected the two to the scene, and gave police grounds to arrest them.
Surveillance video of the days leading up to Shaw’s death shows Reeves, Greeley, and Shaw had all spent time together.
The affidavit went into little detail about the relationship between Shaw and Greeley, but it did explain that the two appeared to be friends.
The reason for the alleged murder is not exactly made clear.
Reeves continues to be held in a New York jail on charges that he slashed a woman’s face last winter.
Greeley’s case is expected to be presented to a grand jury in the near future.
