AUGUSTA – The Kennebec Montessori School will be growing in the coming months.
Today the school broke ground on a construction project with a price tag of over $930,000.
A USDA Rural Development loan is helping to pay for the 3,500 square foot expansion. The school will be adding two classrooms as well as space for enrichment programs like music and art.
Students should be able to use the new space by January.
The expansion also coincides with the school’s 40th anniversary.
