DOVER-FOXCROFT – Thousands across the state got their sugar fix for Maine Maple Sunday – including in Dover-Foxcroft.
The town held its annual maple breakfast fundraiser Sunday morning.
More than 800 people flocked to Foxcroft Academy for pancakes and french toast – served with fresh maple syrup from Bob’s Sugar House.
The event has been going on for more than 20 years, raising funds for the town’s homecoming celebration in August.
“This is our 4th year at Foxcroft Academy, I really appreciate being able to be here at Foxcroft Academy and all the help within the community to make this possible,” said Jack Clukey, the Dover-Foxcroft town manager.
ABC 7 && Fox 22’s J.R. Mitchell and Kayla Fish could be seen flipping pancakes at this year’s event.
Numerous groups – including Kiwanis, the fire department and the local boy scout troop – volunteer each year to make the event possible.
