BANGOR – Firefighters are investigating a building fire that happened in Bangor Monday morning.
First responders arrived at the PCHC building on the Odlin Road around 5:15 a.m.
They found a small fire coming from two HVAC units on the roof of the building.
Crews then shut of the natural gas to the units which took care of the flames.
Bangor Gas had to be called in.
The Bangor assistant chief says they still are not sure what caused the fire to start.
“The two units took pretty good damage,” says Assistant Chief Dennis Nadeau. “Mostly internally to the boiler units themselves.”
“Fortunately the building didn’t take any damage and no smoke made it into the building from the fire,” he also said.
No one was hurt in the fire.
Nadeau says the fire was called in by the cleaning person who was the only one there at the time.
