BANGOR – There is a new entertainment option under construction in Downtown Bangor that combines the small cinema experience, with retro video and board games.
Throw in some local craft beer and traditional movie theater fare, soft drinks, candy and popcorn, and you’ve got the new Queen City Cinema Club.
Owner Joshua Moulton said, “I want to bring something innovative, like an every night option to Downtown, so people have something to do on a Monday night.”
The new Queen City Cinema Club is scheduled to open in May. It will feature two private movie theaters, each with black leather recliners, a separate area for large screen video gaming and a lounge area that features a bunch of old-style board games.
The board and video games are free to customers, and the cost to rent a theater is $20 for two hours, which is split by the number of attendees.
