OLD TOWN – A family tradition returns to Bangor this weekend, one that brings the inner child out in all that attend.
It looked like an ordinary Friday morning at Old Town Elementary School.
But then, the Anah Shrine clowns arrived, spreading the kind of fun only this group of clowns can provide
The school visits are a tradition the county clowns have been doing for years, now they’re spreading the fun into the Bangor region
“We’re just getting out and doing some school visits with the clowns and raising awareness of what going on this weekend with the circus,” said Anah Shriner Adam Beals. “Glenburn Elementary, Old Town Elementary, the Old Town Y. We’re going to the Parkside Pre School, Brewer Learning Center and the Maine Veterans Home.”
As you can see, no one is safe from the tomfoolery, not even the schools principal, who says it’s okay to clown around in school.
“Today we’re welcoming the clowns from the shrine circus,” said Old Town Elementary Principal Jeanna Tuell. “We thought it was a great time to get into costume and show our kids its okay to have fun and clown around at school too.”
The shrine clowns made sure everyone enjoyed the visit, and reminded them to come to the circus this weekend at the Cross Insurance Center
Shows are Friday night at 7:00, Saturday at 10:00, 2:00 and 7:00, and Sunday at 11:00 and 3:00.
