STATEWIDE – A spokesman for George H-W Bush confirming the former president is being hospitalized at Southern Maine Healthcare in Biddeford earlier Sunday for low blood pressure and fatigue and will likely stay there for a few days.
This latest hospital stint, coming a little over a month after the 93-year-old was admitted in Houston for an infection that had spread to his blood, according to Jim McGrath George H-W Bush spokesperson. He was released after two weeks.
The former president is said to be awake, alert and not in any discomfort.
Earlier Saturday morning the former president spent part of his memorial day weekend with veterans.
He attended a pancake breakfast at the American Legion near his summer home in Maine.
Bush posted photos to twitter saying in part: “This weekend we remember, and thank, all who have given their lives for our great country.”
