BANGOR – The first ever Beats & Eats Food Truck Festival featured some local and visiting food trucks on the Bangor Waterfront on Saturday.
A $5 ticket got foodies in to try a multitude of food truck options. Vendors ranged from barbecue, to Brazilian food, to whoopie pies.
The event also had a beer tent and live music.
The owner of Whoopie Pie Cafe said it was a good experience for local, small businesses to come together.
“There’s people [here] from all over the state of Maine,” said James Gallagher, the owner of Whoopie Pie Cafe. “So it’s kind of exciting to get a bunch of us food people together and just enjoy this beautiful weather.”
Food vendors said they were expecting a couple thousand people to attend.
