HOLLIS – Police say a deer caused a tractor-trailer driver to roll his rig over in Hollis Sunday morning.
State police said the crash happened shortly before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Plains Road and Killick Pond Road.
The driver, Malinko Calo of New York, told police that after he left the Poland Springs plant he saw a deer in the middle of the road and that he hit the brakes and turned to the right.
Police say the tractor-trailer rolled over on top of a guardrail in the area.
The driver suffered a small cut to his head but was wearing his seatbelt.
Roads were briefly closed in order to bring the tractor-trailer upright but traffic continued move in the area as the water was unloaded.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
