BANGOR – Two people are facing charges after a traffic stop turned into a drug bust in Bangor.
As part of their investigation, Maine Drug Agents and State Police pulled over a vehicle on Interstate 95 in Bangor on Tuesday.
Inside the car, police found more than six ounces of heroin, with a street value of more than $56,000.
They say the drugs were destined to be sold in Washington County.
As a result, police arrested 54-year-old Michelle Loud of Whitneyville and 27-year-old Christopher Disla of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania.
Both were charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin.
They are currently being held at the Penobscot County Jail on $10,000 bail each.
