BANGOR – It might not officially be summertime yet, but it certainly felt and sounded like it in Bangor Tuesday night.
The Bangor Band kicked off their first concert of the summer season at the Bangor Public Library.
Members of the group had been practicing and refining their skills ahead of the night’s event.
Dozens filled the lawn for the free concert to listen to the music and enjoy the beautiful night.
“The music is so good. The band is a conglomeration of a lot of different people that just enjoy doing what they’re doing, and people come because they love to hear it,” said Casey Dorenbusch, a Bangor resident.
“It’s a chance to explore something new. We try to have different kinds of genres so it’s exposing yourself to some music that might be a little different,” said Hannah Young from the Bangor Public Library. “Something a little fun for getting outside and enjoying the summer weather.”
The library hosts their concert series every Wednesday, with Tuesday being the exception.
The Bangor Band will also be playing a number of outdoor concerts over the next few months.
