BANGOR – This fall, Eastern Maine Community College will have some additional tools to help train new commercial truck drivers.
The Dead River Company donated five used commercial trucks to the school Wednesday afternoon.
“There is a need out there. And not just in our industry. But throughout the state and throughout the region. And we want to be part of helping fill that need. And be part of training the next generation of drivers,” Dead River President Casey Crampton said.
When Crampton was hired by Dead River 29 years ago, the company sent him to what was then Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute to learn boiler repair.
