BANGOR — You don’t have to be a star athlete to commit to get fit. The people at St. Joeseph Healthcare are inviting people to do that.
This weekend is their second annual 5K, 10K walk and run pushing people to stay healthy.
However, the event is virtual as a COVID precaution.
“It’s hard sometimes to get motivated, so signing up for these events is a kick in the rear end to get out there and do something and it’s for a heck of a good cause,” said Brad Coffey, the president of St. Joseph Healthcare Foundation.
All of the money raised through this event benefits their SAFE Nurses program.
Those nurses are trained specifically to help victims of sexual assault.
