BELFAST – The third annual Belfast Winter Whoopla kicks off Friday with the appropriately named Frost and Flannel Dance
The Whoopla continues Saturday with events ranging from sledding to an early evening bonfire.
According to a Belfast Area Chamber of Chamber of Commerce official, the event is very significant to the city.
“It’s very important because it gets people outside, for one. And it helps local merchants and gets people involved in the community,” Sandy Patrick, the chamber’s member representative, said.
Some of the event organizers have added a touch of humor, including tropical mini-golf and snowshoeing with an obstacle course.
