AUGUSTA – A coronavirus outbreak in Waldo County has grown to 46 cases, according to the Maine CDC.
According to a statement from a Maine CDC spokesperson Wednesday evening, the new data marks an increase of four cases since Tuesday.
The statement said three people have been hospitalized.
The outbreak, which CDC investigators say is centered around a church and school in Brooks, has spread to four Waldo County public schools and a residential care facility in Searsport.
The CDC continues to conduct contact tracing, and urged people who may have been exposed to answer the phone and cooperate if the Maine CDC calls.
