HOLDEN – Some law officers will be giving more than speeding tickets to their community.
All day Wednesday, January 16, the Holden Police Department is hosting “Warm Up Wednesday.”
The event is an opportunity for those in need to get various items such as thick socks, hand warmers, gloves, scarves, deodorant and even teddy bears.
“We had stuff left over from the twenty five days of kindness here in Holden and we received some additional donations from Saint Patrick’s Church in Brewer,” said Holden Police Chief Chris Greeley. “So we thought collectively, with the stuff that’s left over, again between the government shutdown and the really cold weather in Maine, we’ll give this to some folks in need.”
Folks can go to the Holden Police Department to take part in the event.
