BANGOR – A local non-profit is recognizing a Bangor area business with a special award.
Representatives from The Courageous Steps Project presented Darling’s Auto Group with the Katahdin Award Tuesday.
It’s awarded to organizations that have had a significant impact on the project through participation in events and donations.
The Courageous Steps Project helps children and adults with developmental challenges.
Darling’s has been involved with the project since the group’s first walk-run event in 2014.
“Any little bit helps,” said Connor Archer, the founder of The Courageous Steps Project, “and as a growing organization we certainly appreciate all the support we get from other organizations and Darling’s.”
The folks at Darling’s say they’re honored to be recognized.
They added they don’t do it for the awards, but simply because it’s the right thing to do.
