TURNER – Thanks to tips from the public, Maine State Police said they know who accidentally shot a garage in Turner while they were target shooting nearby, according to our media partners at WGME.
Police said the incident occurred on Dead End Road around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.
Maine State Police posted photos of where the bullet went through on their Facebook page.
They said the bullet went through the wall on the south side of the garage and was found on the floor.
A person at the home told police she and her husband were both outside the home at the time and were fortunate to avoid injury.
Maine State Police are reminding target shooters to stay three hundred feet away from neighboring buildings and always be sure of your target.
