BANGOR – Thyme & Moss Publishing is proud to re-introduce a one-of-a-kind cookbook entitled A Taste of It All, Celebrating the Mood of Food, by Georgia M Joachim.
With seasonal menus, poetic reflections, and suggested accompaniments to enhance the meal, the occasion, and the ambience, this is indeed a delightful 130-page cookbook with most attractive cover art. Within are beautiful photographs depicting the landscape and gardens around the author’s interior Maine home, nestled in the shadow of Katahdin on the shores of South Twin Lake.
Popularity for A Taste of It All resulted in a second edition for which marketing was tabled when G. M. Joachim was asked to help create a cookbook for kids with cancer for Magical Moon Foundation in Marshfield, Massachusetts. That amazing three-year journey with Lexie Williams, a young lady with a slow-growing, inoperable brain tumor produced a phenomenal cookbook entitled, Lexie’s Gift, A Cookbook for Kids Living with Cancer (available at magicalmoon.org).
Now Joachim is back and happily sharing recipe samples and showcasing A Taste of It All at her favorite venues throughout Maine, including Ingrid’s German Gift Shop at Bangor’s European Market (in the Sunnyside Florist Greenhouse), 117 Buck Street (by The Cross Center) this coming Saturday, March 21 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. as part of Ingrid’s annual Spring Open House series. Stop by and sample delicious recipes from A Taste of It All, browse its pages, and pick up a signed copy of this unique cookbook.
Susan Lovell of The Forecaster remarks, “A Taste of It All is likely to become Maine’s – and maybe the country’s – new favorite cookbook. Reading A Taste of It All is like reading an engaging novel. Cooking from it is a revelation.”
Joachim says, “A Taste of It All is more than a cookbook; it is a journey taken with the senses, season by season. It was written as an expression of the bond between food, family, nature, and the artistic manifestations that grace our world. I hope you enjoy it.”
