BLUE HILL – Blue Hill Memorial Hospital (BHMH) will begin preparing its campus to allow for Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine to move out of the Sussman Medical Office Building and into temporary space. The temporary building is a mobile structure and will be located on the west side of the main parking lot.
At this time, Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine shares an office suite with Blue Hill Orthopedics. The growing demands of both practices have led to the hiring of additional providers, which has created space challenges. “It is imperative that we relieve the pressure our providers are feeling because of current space limitations,” explains John Ronan, president and CEO of Blue Hill Memorial Hospital. “Our patients and staff deserve better accommodations and we certainly want to meet their expectations with respect to access, comfort, and privacy.”
The move is expected to occur in late April or early May. “We plan for the move to be seamless,” states Mark Hankinson, vice president of clinical and support services. “The temporary relocation of the cardiology practice will allow both Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine and Blue Hill Orthopedics to continue to meet the growing needs of our community.”
BHMH continues to evaluate and plan for future space needs and facility improvements, including a permanent location for Blue Hill Cardiovascular Medicine.
