AUGUSTA – A Maine lawmaker has submitted a bill that would ban the sale and possession of powdered alcohol.
Democratic Representative Mick Devin of Newcastle sponsored the bill on the heels of powdered alcohol being approved by the Federal Government.
The bill would make the possession, use or sale of powdered alcohol a civil violation. Powdered alcohol is made by containing tiny drops of liquid alcohol inside synthetic capsules.
Devin’s bill will go before the Veterans and Legal Affairs Committee for a public hearing.
