UNITY – Do you have a great idea for a business? The Maine Organic Farmers and Gardeners Association (MOFGA), host of the Common Ground Country Fair, is offering a Youth Entrepreneurship Workshop in collaboration with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension Service on Saturday, April 25, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at MOFGA’s Common Ground Education Center in Unity, Maine.
This interactive workshop is for youth ages 11 to 21 who are interested in starting or improving their business in the Common Ground Country Fair’s Youth Enterprise Zone. Kids will be given the opportunity to work on their own business plans, learn about running a successful business, learn about putting their best foot forward with effective marketing, and much more. Please click here for more information and contact [email protected] or 568-4142 ext. 2689 to RSVP by April 20.
The Youth Enterprise (ages 11 to 17) and Youth Enterprise Transition (ages 18 to 21) Zones form a unique area of the Common Ground Country Fair reserved for businesses founded and run by youth. For the past 19 years, kids have been showcasing their handmade creations and unique ideas in ever growing numbers on Friday, the first day of the Fair. In 2014 YEZ and YETZ grew to include Sunday in order to accommodate more than 70 businesses run by nearly 100 young entrepreneurs.
