BANGOR – City leaders and Bangor public school officials met tonight to discuss the upcoming school budget.
The 2016 fiscal year agenda was initially set at over 45 million dollars, a five percent increase from last year. That was cut down to almost 44 million dollars. Any other changes will be based on how the state budget is set, which impacts numbers at the local level for communities across the state.
Based on Governor LePage’s proposed budget plan, Bangor would receive more than 400,000dollars in additional funding this year.
The next discussion of the current budget proposal will take place next Tuesday.
