FT. FAIRFIELD – Police say a Florida man with a substantial criminal history has been dealing heroin in Fort Fairfield.
Now he is in custody and FDort Fairfield police and Maine Drug Enforcement Agents say it is the most significant seizure of heroin in the county to date.
Police say Ignacio Roque has been living at border view apartments since his release in February from a Miami Prison. Early thursday morning investigators searched his apartment and found more than two ounces of unpackaged heroin worth about $20,000 dollars.
Roque was charged with class a drug trafficking and his bail is set at $20,000 cash.
Peter Arno, commander of the MDEA says more and more out-of-state drug dealers are moving into even the most rural parts of the state to set up business.
