BANGOR – Bail is set at $3,500 for a man accused of setting fire to a bed during an argument with his wife.
According to the Penobscot County District Attorney’s office, Timothy Fitch got into an argument with his wife on Friday, April 24th.
During the altercation Fitch allegedly smashed the windows of their truck, broke their cellphones, and threw hot coals on the bed. According to the DA, Fitch later reported the incident.
He now faces charges of arson, aggravated criminal mischief, domestic violence, and domestic violence reckless conduct.
Fitch did not enter a plea. If convicted he faces up to 30 years in prison and a 50,000 dollar fine.
