WALDOBORO – More work will be needed to help identify a person who was killed during a terrible fire.
That’s according to the State Fire Marshal’s office which is investigating the fire that destroyed Pinkham’s Auto Repair on Friday.
A man’s body was recovered from the basement of the building, but the medical examiner’s office has been unable to positively identify him. DNA work will likely be needed.
The State Police Crime Laboratory is expected to work on the case this week.
The local fire chief says the owner of the business had been working in the building when the fire started and he has been missing ever since.
