PORTLAND – If you weren’t already looking forward to summer, this might give you a reason to.
A massive water slide coming to Portland. The city council approved the project which will convert parts of Franklin Street to a 1,000 foot water slide.
The event will take place for one day in August and more than 2,000people are expected to attend.
“It’s just a fun experience with kids sliding”
Some people could have mixed opinions about that, and some people might not like the extra traffic that could come from that
It will cost about 15-to-55 dollars for a ticket to ride down the slide. Officials say a portion of the proceeds will go to a charity for the city.
Some opponents of the slide say it will be a waste of water.
