OXFORD COUNTY – Investigators in oxford county are trying to get to the bottom of what they say is a car-stealing spree.
So far 2 cars have been found in the Saco River, another car torched.
Police are reminding everyone to lock their cars after they found one car torched, two others dumped in the Saco River.
Oxford county deputies and a dive team pulling the two cars from the Saco River near the Hiram – Brownfield town line on Sunday.
Just before that, police finding another car torched.
Oxford county deputies believe the cases are connected because of the timing of the thefts. Between Thursday night and Friday morning. 4 cars and an ATV were reported stolen in the Brownfield, Hiram and Fryeburg area.
While all four cars have been found, it’s making people living in the area rethink leaving anything unlocked.
“Been staying in my parents house in Parsonfield we don’t lock our cars or anything its a concern they found two cars in the river, that’s not far from home.” Buddy Sampson ,Hiram

Be just a little more vigilant keep an eye on things in yard.
So far police have made no arrests but they are working on leads to track down whoever is responsible.
