HARTLAND – A close call for two Palmyra men when the plane they were in flipped while landing on a lake in Hartland.
The floatplane was being piloted by 52-year-old Kenneth Comfort. He and his 27-year-old passenger, Thad Rines, both escaped injury.
A witness with a pontoon boat was able to rescue them. Officials say the plane bounced off a wave and was hit by a gust of wind causing it to flip upside down.
