Authorities have identified a young woman who was killed this morning during a crash with a logging truck in Wesley.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Department, it was around 5:00 a.m. when a car driven by 19 year old Kayla Robinson of Trescot crossed the center line on Route 9.
The vehicle ended up striking the logging truck nearly head-on, sending both vehicles out of control.
Robinson was thrown from her vehicle and was killed.
The logging truck continued down the road and rolled over, dumping the load of logs across the roadway.
The two people in the truck, received minor injuries.
The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
An accident reconstruction expert was called to the scene and the two people in the truck were having blood tests which is required in fatal accidents.
