BANGOR – Eastern Maine Medical Center Rheumatology Specialists is holding a rheumatologic diseases symposium for healthcare providers from across the region on May 22 in Bangor.
The agenda focuses on polyarthritis, fibromyalgia, and Lyme disease, and will include a discussion of non-medicinal treatments, such as occupational therapy and behavioral health. The day will conclude with an in depth panel discussion with presenters.“We are thrilled to bring together healthcare providers in the community at the first symposium of its kind to share methods of treating rheumatic diseases,” says Crisostomo Baliog, MD, rheumatologist, EMMC Rheumatology Specialists. “This opportunity to exchange ideas means that caregivers can better serve patients throughout Maine and beyond.”
