AUGUSTA – The governor has vetoed six bills. Among them – a proposal to put a special decal on the car of intermediate drivers.
The bill was known as Taylor’s Law. Nicknamed after the 15 year old Bucksport girl who died in a car accident. The driver only had an intermediate license has the time.
Supporters say the bill would let parents and law enforcement know if the driver was allowed to have passengers. But LePage disagrees – siding with those who worried the tag would make it easier for people to target young drivers.
