Game officials are still searching for answers following the death of a young fisherman.
We’ve learned that 18 year old Darren Clement was killed on Sunday during a fishing trip to Bean Brook in Rainbow Township.
Wardens say the Medford teen had gone fishing with his uncle and cousin and they decided to split up and reunite later in the day.
When Clement failed to return, family members searched along the stream and called wardens when they couldn’t find him.
The search came to an end around 8:00 Sunday night when a warden and his k-9 unit found Clement’s fishing bag along the stream.
A short time later his body was found submerged in the water.
Officials aren’t speculating on what happened.
Clement’s body was sent to the Medical Examiners Officer for an autopsy.
We’re told services were being made available today for students at Penobscot Valley High School in Howland where clement attended classes.
