MECHANIC FALLS – A grand jury is now considering additional evidence this week in hayride accident last fall that caused the death of a teenager.
17-year-old, Cassidy Charette, was killed in October when the hayride crashed at a pumpkin patch in Mechanic Falls. Authorities believe a mechanical malfunction caused the car, pulling the wagon full of passengers, to strike a tree.
The grand jury will determine if criminal conduct contributed to the accident. They’re expected to meet again today.
