BANGOR – A Bangor woman has been indicted by the Penobscot County grand jury on charges stemming from a drug bust in December of last year.
Ernestine Chubbuck, 52, was indicted on two counts of aggravated trafficking, unlawful furnishing of drugs, three counts of unlawful possession of drugs and criminal forfeiture.
A state police spokesman said troopers stopped a vehicle on Interstate 95 in Bangor for a traffic violation and found suspected heroin, cocaine and meth as well as $3,600 in suspected drug proceeds.
The grand jury also indicted 30 year old Kirk DePhilippo of Bangor on two counts of violation of condition of release.
East Millinocket police arrested DePhilippo in June 2019 after he allegedly led them on a high-speed chase and crashed his car into a ditch on Medway Road.
According to police, he left the vehicle and ran into a residence but was later arrested.
Police said he was driving with a revoked license.
