ORONO – Employees from Alltown Market, dropped off free lunch to workers at the Treats Falls Care Facility.
The care facility program servers over 100,000 people with intellectual disabilities and other related conditions.
Similar to many organizations, they have faced many challenges because of COVID-19.
The administrator of treats falls care facility says they were recognized for their hard work trying to keep everyone safe.
Alltown Market store manager Scott Kigas said, “they’re the first line of defense in this time that we’re in and they were all working really hard to keep everybody safe so we wanted to do our part and help out the community.”
“When our community comes in and helps us and recognizes that work it’s a very positive and heart warming feeling for us.” said Treat Falls House Administrator Catherine Thibedeau.
Alltown Market has also brought free thank you lunches to the Orono Fire Department, Orono Police Department, nursing homes and hospital workers.
