STATEWIDE – The American Lung Association is on the road to clean air.
A new report states the transition to electric transportation is safer for our environment.
According to the American Lung Association, using electric cars, buses or trucks will improve air quality, climate change and the health of people.
“We are seeing the impacts of climate change today, which means we need to take steps today to reduce the burden of carbon dioxide is imposing on our planet,” said Paul Billings, senior VP of Public Policy, American Lung Association.
According to Billings, in 2050, using electric transportation will avoid $181 million in health costs.
There are multiple charging stations across the greater Bangor region for electric cars.
