PORTLAND – Another one of the firefighters injured in the Farmington gas explosion Monday has been released from the hospital.
As of 3:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon, Maine Medical Center officials said Captain Timothy Hardy had been discharged.
In a statement, Hardy thanked everyone for their vast support.
Farmington Fire Chief Terry Bell and Captain Scott Baxter are still listed in critical condition. However, hospital officials say the two are improving daily. Chief Bell was on his feet Thursday meeting with family and fellow firefighters.
Officials say firefighter Theodore Baxter’s condition is “serious,” which is considered an upgrade from “critical.” He was transferred out of the Intensive Care Unit Thursday.
Another firefighter, Joseph Hastings, was released Wednesday.
Larry Lord, the LEAP maintenance man being hailed as a hero, is still recovering from his severe injuries at Mass General in Boston.
