HAMPDEN – State troopers and Hampden police are investigating after finding a woman dead in her home and her husband unresponsive Tuesday morning.
Authorities could be seen outside a home at 1292 Kennebec Road throughout the day.
According to a public safety spokesman, the body of 73-year-old Georgeanne Jackson was found inside the residence.
Her husband, 73-year-old David Jackson, was found unresponsive and taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.
Spokesman Steve McCausland says police continue to monitor David Jackson’s medical condition.
Mrs. Jackson’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office in Augusta. An autopsy is expected to be conducted Wednesday.
