BANGOR – A 39-year-old Bangor woman accused of throwing rocks at cars this week appeared in court Wednesday for a criminal mischief charge.
The charge against Elizabeth Ellis stems from an incident earlier this week near 85 Hammond St.
Bangor police were called to look into a report of a woman throwing rocks at cars and when they arrived, they discovered dented and scratched vehicles, according to a police department spokesman.
Police also found football size stones near the damaged cars, the spokesman said.
Ellis was sent to prison in 2017 after randomly stabbing two people at the Bangor Mall.
In a 2015 stabbing case, Ellis was sentenced to seven years in prison with four years suspended — plus five years all suspended — and six years probation.
During Wednesday’s court proceedings, a judge set bail for Ellis at $250.
As of Wednesday night, Ellis remained at Penobscot County Jail.
