BANGOR – With the pandemic hitting all businesses large and small, one bike shop is experiencing less foot traffic but has geared up for new challenges.
Jason Neal is the owner of Slipping Gears Cycling. His company just moved to a new location with 1,800 more square feet in February. He says he’s seeing the effects of COVID-19 at his business.
“Yeah we normally do a lot of group rides. We’ve been cancelling those, but we’ve been doing those on Swift, virtually riding from our homes, can ride with other people in our group. We had our re-grand opening on April 11, we had to cancel that,” Neal said.
The store offers home delivery, as well as curbside pick-up, for any cycling repair needs or purchasing.
Neal also said he hopes that more people can get out and enjoy the outdoors during this time of physical isolation.
