BANGOR — For Monday only, city hall officials extended hours for voter registration to 7 p.m.
According to Bangor city officials, residents can visit the city clerk’s office and register for the primary and general elections.
“We are going into our closed period for the state. That means that people will now have to come in person now to register. Up until now, they could send their voter registration in the mail but right now is the cutoff. July 7 is that cutoff so after that they have to come in person,” City Clerk Lisa Goodwin said.
She added regular voting registration is still open until July 14.
Normal hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
