BANGOR – Bangor professional firefighters are hosting a Jingle Bell Ball in December.
It has been a long time since the firemen had a ball but organizers said it is a way to celebrate with the community and raise money for a very good cause.
“As of today, we have fundraised over $35,000 for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Right now that puts us in first place for all of New England for fire departments. We still have Black Friday and our boot drive coming up and with the event coming up, we could end up having the best year ever,” said Bangor firefighter Jared Bowden.
The Jingle Bell Ball will be held on Dec. 13 at the Anah Shrine in Bangor. Tickets can be purchased online at bidpal.net/jinglebellball. More than half of the available tickets have already been sold.
