HAMPDEN – A Bangor man is running his first marathon next April and fundraising for a good cause.
Seth Poplaski will be running the Boston Marathon with the Mass General Pediatric Cancer Team.
His goal is to raise $10,000 for pediatric cancer research.
“A lot of friends and family have been impacted by pediatric cancer. While running a marathon seems special to me, and running Boston seems more special,” Poplaski said. “The fact that I get this opportunity to raise thousands of dollars for pediatric research, hopefully eradicating it completely, is something that really holds dear to my heart.”
So far, he has raised just under $4,000.
