BANGOR- The Bangor Planning Board voted to go forward plans to build a skate park in Hayford Park.
That’s after Bangor Parks and Rec Director Tracy Willette got approval of a land development permit for a proposed 2,455 SQ. Ft. cast-concrete skate park facility behind the right field area of Mansfield Stadium.
“American ramp company who has designed these all over the country is familiar with the site and certainly agrees that citing it where we’re proposing to site in this park makes sense for that activity,” Willette said.
He added that in July the Parks and Rec. department sent out a community survey to area residents, with feedback generally showing support for a new skate park.
